Political activist Rudolf Mwanza has warned that the Patriotic Front (PF) risks possible exclusion from the August 2026 general elections if internal leadership disputes remain unresolved.

Mr. Mwanza said the party’s decision to proceed with a convention while court cases are still pending may contravene its constitution.

He noted that the situation has contributed to the withdrawal of several presidential aspirants, including Willah Mudolo and Miles Sampa.

He further argued that the continued recognition of Makebi Zulu as party president may weaken the party’s cohesion and preparedness ahead of the polls.

Mr. Mwanza suggested that former Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili remains a strong contender who could provide more stable leadership if the party is to effectively participate in the 2026 elections.
