Youth Activist Ruth Kangwa has called for a review of key laws aimed at addressing youth development affairs in the country.
Ms. Kangwa tells Flava News that the National Youth Development Council (NYDC) Act has been in existence for over three decades without any substantive reforms.
She points out that at such a time when the grievances of youths have become very evident with the high unemployment rate, more needs to be done.
Ms. Kangwa states that there is need for the country to have a strong legal framework that will strengthen State Youth institutions and create transparency and accountability.
The Youth Activist has further called on Government and Lawmakers to consider views of the many Youths and include them in the existing drafted bills in order to ensure that NYDC fulfils its mandate.
