Youth activist Bruce Kalasa has urged President Hakainde Hichilema to engage in discussions with companies dealing in solar products to negotiate price reductions, rather than issuing directives.

During a recent press briefing, President Hichilema announced that the government expects companies selling solar products to reduce their prices, citing the zero-rated tax on solar equipment.

Mr. Kalasa noted that the government has made numerous promises, raising the hopes of many citizens. He stressed the importance of transitioning from making promises to delivering tangible results.

He suggested that the government should focus on implementing solutions before making public announcements, to ensure that promises translate into real benefits for the people.
