The Opposition Patriots for Economic Progress (PeP) has called on the New Dawn administration to convene a multi-stakeholder National Economic Indaba to review Zambia’s economic trajectory and chart a better way forward before the 2024 National Budget is developed.
PeP President Sean Tembo states that it is a well documented fact that the cost of living has skyrocketed in the past 2 years and he adds that the UPND administration by itself, has failed to develop economic solutions that can turnaround the economy and improve the standard of living of the people.
Mr. Tembo says the party is convicted that it will be grossly unfair to the Zambia people for the UPND administration to put their pride above the interests of the masses, by refusing to convene a multi-stakeholder National Economic Indaba that can resolve Zambia’s existing economic challenges.
The PeP Leader is hopeful that the call will receive a positive response from President Hakainde Hichilema.
