United Party for National Development (UPND) Copperbelt Provincial Vice Secretary Mutinta Shakasungu has called on leaders in the country to go around the country educating ordinary Zambians on the meaning of the debt restructuring deal government has arrived at.
Mr. Shakasungu notes that while some people are celebrating the debt restructuring deal, there are a number of Zambians who do not know what it means.
He states that this is the reason why he is calling for leaders to educate the people on the real meaning of this and how it will benefit the country.
Mr. Shakasungu notes that the debt restructuring deal presents many opportunities for the country and will have a great impact on the lives of many Zambians and the economy at large, noting that the it creates breathing room for the country as the funds meant to pay back debt can be channeled to hospitals, schools, universities as well as other developments and sectors.
