Solwezi Central Constituency Member of Parliament Stafford Mulusa has threatened to have workers at Solwezi Municipal Council transferred.
Mr. Mulusa states that this is because some of the members of staff at the municipality are reluctant in pushing and implementing government’s development and service delivery agenda.
The lawmaker who is also Government Chief Whip as well as UPND Provincial Chairman for North Western Province has lamented that the sluggish implementation of the Constituency Development Fund is frustrating for government and he alleges that the move by some staff is deliberate and meant to sabotage government’s development agenda.
He says he will not hesitate to recommend or surrender some council staff to the Local Service Commission for possible transfers due to the prevailing situation on the ground.
Mr. Mulusa discloses that up to now, the 2022 CDF money is still in the bank and remains utilised on projects while there is a deliberate move by the council staff to delay the processes by not issuing payments to contractors.
