Community Action Against Corruption (CAAC) has commended the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) for quickly responding to media reports that the K65 million forfeited to the state from Faith Musonda had been misappropriated by the Commission.

CAAC Chief Executive Office Brightone Tembo has however advised the Commission, Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education to provide further evidence and documentation of how the money was moved and how it was disbursed to the beneficiaries, so that, this matter is transparently concluded and rested.

Mr. Tembo says at the moment, the affected parties have only responded through press statements, stating there is need for full documented support, otherwise doubts will continue to emerge in the public domain.

He notes that statements alone that the money was handed over to Ministry of Finance, without, availing documentation of Bank transfers, withdraws details and the names of people who were involved in disposal of the funds, it will be difficult for people to believe, verbal explanations by ACC that money was used for what it was publicly declared.
