The Zambia Postal Services Corporation (ZAMPOST), in partnership with ZeeMove, has officially commenced a controlled beta testing phase of a new high-tech pick-and-drop delivery service in Lusaka.

The initiative marks a significant transformation for the national postal operator, as it transitions from traditional mail services to a digitally integrated and eco-friendly delivery model aimed at meeting the growing demands of Lusaka’s expanding e-commerce and business sectors.

In a statement issued by the communications unit, ZAMPOST said the current phase is a live pilot, and members of the public may notice riders wearing “Trainee” badges while operating within the city. The controlled rollout is intended to allow both ZAMPOST and ZeeMove to fine-tune digital workflows, safety protocols, and service quality ahead of a full launch.

The pilot is currently limited to selected areas within Lusaka, with gradual expansion planned as testing progresses. Feedback collected during the beta phase will directly inform final service improvements prior to a wider rollout.

ZAMPOST and ZeeMove have reaffirmed their commitment to transparency throughout the testing period and have thanked customers and stakeholders for their patience and continued support. A full public launch will be announced once all training and system validation milestones have been successfully completed.
